We are happy to be holding the Fifth Workshop on Infection Diseases 2022, in the memory of Spc. Dr. Mustafa Aydın ÇEVİK. The workshop, which has been running since 2014, will be held in Ankara, between March 23 and 27, 2022. The announcement of the first COVID-19 cases in Turkey, has caused the early end of the fourth workshop. At that time, we did not foresee that the COVID-19 pandemic would continue for almost two years and change a lot in the world. In the meantime, face-to-face meetings have been replaced by virtual meetings. On these days we are in face-to-face meetings and hybrid meetings have started again, with the weight of the pandemic being relatively lifted. We are also very happy to be able to carry out this workshop face to face.

One of the most important features of the Workshop on Infection Diseases 2022 is that this workshop brings together everyone from research assistants to experienced professors, who studying the field of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, and creates discussion environments.

Additionally, in this workshop, topics and real-life facts will be discussed in an interactive discussion environment in the light of new information. Current problems, solution suggestions, and innovations in applications will be discussed in the presence of specialists.

In this workshop, as in previous ones, it is aimed to share, up-to-date information with handling many issues related to our field.

Our main goals in this workshop are, to transform knowledge into production, to plan scientific studies, to produce projects, to create discussion environments that motivate our young colleagues and to organize open sessions.
